Hello, you've reached the Doctor, not at the TARDIS, well, maybe at the TARDIS, won't know until I answer, leave me a message after the TARDIS engine sound if you've got one, just a "please help" is fine although more details would probably be good, whatever you can manage, and I'll get back to you, and maybe save your planet, ta!
[Followed right after by about a second of the sound of TARDIS engines, followed by the thump of its landing.
Feel free to leave a message for the (eleventh) Doctor here!]
Re: [Video] -- July 1 | Locked
Date: 2018-07-03 05:13 am (UTC)I can't want your company without being a mess and the world falling apart? I'm all right, Doctor. I promise.
[Video] -- July 1 | Locked
Date: 2018-07-03 05:48 am (UTC)Well, yeah, 'course you can, I s'pose. You can do all sorts of things 'round here without the world falling apart, frankly it's still a bit surprising, but I s'pose I'm getting used to it.
[After all, used to be every day was something new and bizarre, punctuated by absolute chaos and disaster. ...he might be interpreting it just a bit differently than her meaning, there.]
What's on your mind, then?
Re: [Video] -- July 1 | Locked
Date: 2018-07-04 03:20 am (UTC)And when he does get there, she's still smiling, patient and kind.]
I was thinking you might want to come out and see the stars with me, for one. They're beautiful tonight.
Re: [Video] -- July 1 | Locked
Date: 2018-07-04 03:49 am (UTC)[He's taken aback for a second, then laughs a little and grins. It's not exactly the sort of invitation extended to him that often. Especially given the sort of view he's used to having of the stars.]
Yeah, 'course, why not, where'd you have in mind?
Re: [Video] -- July 1 | Locked
Date: 2018-07-04 08:40 am (UTC)Nova City Beach is where I am now. The Musical Festival, but if you'd rather somewhere else, I'm easy-peasy.
Re: [Video] -- July 1 | Locked
Date: 2018-07-04 06:33 pm (UTC)...yeah, think I know a cafe not far from there, if that's all right, I can send you coordinates if you don't know th'one I mean.
Re: [Video] -- July 1 | Locked
Date: 2018-07-05 03:57 am (UTC)As long as it's a cafe with outdoor seating, yeah? Stars.
Re: [Video] -- July 1 | Locked
Date: 2018-07-06 01:04 am (UTC)[He pulls out his (new, green-tipped) sonic and buzzes it at his phone to transmit the cafe's location to hers.]
Meet you there!
[And if the background's any measure, he's already moving.]
Re: [Video] --> [Action] July 1 | Locked
Date: 2018-07-07 06:58 am (UTC)[Then she shuts down the video before she gets motion sickness watching him.]
---
It's not far, the cafe, and she's already staked out a table with a brilliant view of the sky when he arrives. She stands up and gives a cheery wave to get his attention.
[Action] July 1 | Locked
Date: 2018-07-30 01:22 am (UTC)"Hello, Martha, how are you, then?"
Re: [Action] July 1 | Locked
Date: 2018-07-30 04:02 am (UTC)"A bit knackered," she admits. "Worked the weekend for the festival. That's no bad thing, mind. Keeps me from getting too bothered."
Re: [Action] July 1 | Locked
Date: 2018-07-30 05:19 am (UTC)"Ah, well yeah, makes sense, helps to keep busy, some people can't stand not keeping busy."
He trails off for a second, there, as though realize he's basically talking about himself, and raises a hand in a half-sheepish sort of wave. He sees what he did, there, even if it wasn't quite intentionally.
"...hello."
Re: [Action] July 1 | Locked
Date: 2018-07-30 05:26 am (UTC)It'd be strange to be so familiar with a stranger, but he's not, is he? He's the Doctor, and if not her first Doctor, she already thinks of him as her Doctor. She's not quite sure how that happened. Then again, she's not sure how she ended up thinking of the Doctor as her Doctor in the first place. There was a moon, a rescue, a kiss, and the next thing she knew she was trading everything she'd ever wanted from life to 'go on adventures'.
"Hello, yourself. Shall we have tea, Doctor?" Or coffee. It's not very British of her, how well she likes it.
Re: [Action] July 1 | Locked - like ten years later
Date: 2018-12-15 10:11 pm (UTC)The Doctor raises his eyebrows at that, amused and a bit surprised at the suggestion, even though she's obviously kidding. Even his most smoochiest of faces weren't really to the point of being like Jack, and he was far from being one of those, himself.
He snaps his fingers and points like bingo! when she suggests tea, though, then rubs his hands together.
"Yes, brilliant, and maybe scones, have they got scones, here? Love a good scone, orrr a biscuit would do."
